Buddhist Orphanage approx. 8 KM’s from Baria. It is located in a Buddhist Temple and is managed by monks, both male and Female.
It is unique in that there is no payed staff, all are volunteers doing their pilgrimage and good deeds.
Also NO children are put up for adoption. They believe that the children should be raised in their own country with its customs and traditions
There are just over 100 children there from just a few weeks old up to 19 years old.
All go to school and the older children go to a Trade School.
They do a fantastic job and all the children are happy and well adjusted. They receive good medical care if needed.
There are no tantrums, no fights and it is rare to see a child cry. The babies receive one on one care.
This is the only Orphanage that we support.
